Let's push the boundaries at KAYAK.

More Webby Awards. More traction. More travels booked.

It’s awesome, but unsurprising, that an established industry leader like KAYAK can report 44 million visitors in one month alone. With 22.5% of that coming from referrals, half of which is from KAYAK portfolio brands, the Digital Activations Manager evidently has big shoes to fill. That’s where I come in.

My background complements this position nicely—I led marketing and performance analytics at Tallie, managed international awareness campaigns at Jawbone, and, most recently, brought Kayako’s SaaS product to market, generating $2 million ARR in the first 18 months. At Kayako (KAYAK with an extra ‘o’ as we say), I held a deeply cross-functional product marketing role that emphasized UX/product development while keeping customers at the heart of every decision.

Your work on the Drag Drop and Go campaign proves there's a high bar for innovation, thinking outside the box, and solving real customer problems.

Qualifications aside, my education aligns perfectly with the core of this opportunity: activating KAYAK brands through creative storytelling. I have a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Travel & Tourism Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I published a paper highlighting the differences between Millennials’ and Baby Boomers’ emotional motivations towards travel and leisure.

I have a passion for writing professionally and personally, and I’m proud to have earned the chance to ghostwrite for multiple CEOs, CTOs, and COOs over the years. I’ve also authored a few travel blogs about my time trying to survive the harvest season while WWOOFing at a French winery, how Lyon rekindled my love for hospitality, history and sincerity, and why Paris will always be my favourite city on the planet.

In short, my passion for digital marketing and its application in the travel industry is consistent across all facets of my life—personal, educational, and professional.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me at hello@aliciacarney.com with any questions about my qualifications for this position. I'd love to talk about how we could work together.
